This is Ayan. A friend of mine from grade school.
This picture shows exactly who she is. Always energetic and full of laughter and smiles. From just looking at her, you’d never know the kinds of things she goes through on a daily basis.
You can’t see in this picture, but to start off, she’s in a wheelchair. She also has a lot of problems with her kidneys. She has to get her kidneys flushed out often and she’s had a lot of surgeries done. And if all that isn’t enough, she’s also a foster child.
Ayan passed away last night in her sleep.
She taught me how important it is to enjoy every little thing in life. You never know what day is going to be your last. She couldn’t change the fact that she was in a wheelchair, or that her kidneys were rotten, or that she was in the hospital more than she should have been, or that she was a foster child. She made the best out of what she did have and she didn’t let anything get in the way of her smile.
Next time you’re thinking life can’t get any worse, think about people like Ayan. There’s no point on being upset about something you can’t change, so you might as well make the best of what you do have and enjoy every single day like it’s your last.
Rest in peace Ayan. Work your magic up there and teach people on this earth how to be more like you. <3
Please reblog to spread Ayan’s smile.
